An economist by training, Mafalda is a graduate of Portugal’s Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), later gaining her Master’s Degree in International Relations from School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
Known for her expertise in international as well as economic affairs, Mafalda has lived and worked in several countries including Guinea-Bissau, Brazil, Portugal, America, Denmark, Italy and Belgium.
Her international expertise includes significant stints in the editorial offices of Brazilian newspapers Folha de S.Paulo, Gazeta Mercantil, and InvestNews. In Portugal, she has made notable contributions to Diário Económico, Sic Notícias (TV), Expresso and Correio da Manhã.
Mother of 4 boys, Mafalda loves the arts and culture, sports and travelling and is a keen amateur equestrian.
